After two years largely disrupted by the pandemic, the organizers of VivaTech, this annual show dedicated to technological innovations and startups, were determined to strike a blow. Overall, the bet paid off with an increase in the number of visitors compared to last year.
The return of the public to VivaTech
These are no less than 91,000 people who walked the aisles at the Parc Expo at Porte de Versailles in Paris last week. This is certainly a little less than the 2019 record which stood at 124,000 visitors, but significantly more than the 26,000 physical visitors recorded in 2021. To this total, we should add the 300,000 internet users who viewed digital content offered in this edition.
It is very difficult for us to summarize in a few lines an event so rich in discoveries, but among the great moments of this VivaTech, we can nevertheless mention the surprise appearance of the hologram of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. On the French side, Emmanuel Macron gave a conference and posted a long-term objective for French Tech: to go from 27 to 100 unicorns by 2030.

In terms of innovations, it was also time for the challenges of web3. There was a lot of talk about metaverse, NFT… Finally, the show also allowed many innovators to present their technological advances. Projects that are sometimes surprising and always very stimulating. You can also read our article which goes into detail on the highlights of this edition.
Omnipresent VivaTech on social networks
This VivaTech was also played very strongly online and in particular on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. Visibrain recorded no less than 136,175 posts about the event, i.e. a 62% increase over last year.
These posts generated a total of 552,449 cumulative interactions. In all, no less than 43,200 Internet users expressed their views on the show. You can find the full Visibrain report here.
Among the most influential brands at the show, La Poste and Orange, occupy the first two places. The two groups, big regulars at the show, generated more than 8,000 retweets over the four days of the event according to Visibrain statistics.
With more than 150 start-ups on the Orange stand and numerous events on the side of the La Poste group (Femmes du Numériques, French IoT competition…), the French giants dominated the debate.
On the media side, lemon squeezer (6,725 retweets) and 01Net (4,934 retweets) rise to the top.
