France crushes Vietnam for its last match before the Euro

The game: 7-0

Faced with the 32nd nation in the FIFA rankings, France made a demonstration for their last preparation match for the Euro. Corinne Deacon’s players crushed Vietnam (7-0) at the Stade de la Source in Orléans. The difference between the two teams was too big.

Physically, the Blues floated above the Vietnamese. At the break, they were already leading 6-0. Delphine Cascarino (5th), Kadidiatou Diany twice (11th and 45th+1), Sandie Toletti (16th), Marie-Antoinette Katoto (22nd) and Clara Mateo (33rd) allowed the French women to bend the match in the first period.

When they returned from the locker room, they seemed to slow down. The attackers struggled to capitalize on their chances and the salvation came from defender Aïssatou Tounkara. The now ex-Madrilenian scored the only goal of the second half with a header. Nine days before their entry into the running at the Euro (against Italy), the French finish their preparation with a second victory in as many meetings.

The player: Kadidiatou Diany, triple decisive

Remained on the bench during the first two friendly matches, Kadidiatou Diany recalled that she was one of the best tricolor scorers. Before talking about her finish, the PSG player offered the first assist of the match to Delphine Cascarino (5th) after a superb movement on the right side.

Six minutes later, after making her Vietnamese opponent dance, she placed her shot perfectly to double the lead (11th). Cascarino returned the favor, just before the break, and the 27-year-old striker concluded her performance with a double (45th + 1). She gave way to Melvine Malard in the second half (73rd). This performance will allow the friend of Marie-Antoinette Katoto to approach this Euro in England with full confidence.

The France team scored 11 goals in just two warm-up matches. Six days before this card against Vietnam, Les Bleues had already won easily 4-0 against Cameroon.
